Keeper's Notes : July 7 2026
The trout and grayling are keeping to the shade of the banks and rushes but are rising to flies and taking nymphs as they pass. A lack of ranunculus weed this year is not helping to provide cover habitat for fish and nymphs. But some lovely fish in superb condition have been taken.
Any cloudier days and the cooler air of mornings should be taken advantage of.
There will be little to no active weedcut necessary.
